Amioshi Plague

The amioshi plague is a lichen that is invasive on multiple planets throughout known space. Originally from Kampos (Ellis IV), it naturally grows in the cracks of rocks, where it anchors its rhizines to absorb nutrients and water. It needs little to no light to survive, and can often be found in caves, forests, and other shaded areas. When it is ready to reproduce, it sends up hooded growths that open to disperse countless spores.
