Mazzi

The mazzi is a tropical evergreen tree originally from Jalan (Elysium IV), United Empire of Earth (UEE). Preferring moist soil in partial shade, high-humidity, and warm temperatures, it can grow up to five meters in height in ideal conditions. The tree's bark can be cut from the trunk and consumed to induce audiovisual hallucinations in its users. Before the Tevarin Purge, use of the bark was a key part of a young Tevarin's coming of age ceremony.
