The Vega belt alpha is a dense asteroid belt that orbits the star of the Vega system, United Empire of Earth (UEE). Because of its location near the orbit of Selene (Vega III), it is a popular location for aspiring miners to stake out their first claim and harvest resources. Permanent installations are less common, however, due to Vanduul raids.
