The Hadrian belt alpha is an asteroid belt in the Hadrian system, United Empire of Earth (UEE) that orbits between the system's second and third planets. Although it is abundant in resources, no corporation has elected to mine it due to the presence of undetonated anti-ship mines that remain from the Xi'an-Human Cold War (2530 - 2793). In 2936, independent miner Yubyeol Greene was killed in an explosion when her ship accidentally grazed an active mine.
