Deep Space Scanning & AstroGraphical Stations (DSSAGS) are dedicated space platforms used by the United Empire of Earth (UEE) government to aid in the search for jump points. These turnkey facilities constantly require a minimal crew who collect data and transmit it to the Imperial Cartography Center, where it is interpreted by scientists trained in reading space for signs of jump tunnels. They are located in most inhabited planetary systems across the UEE.
