Vulture System (VS-09)

The Vulture system (designated VS-09 by the United Empire of Earth (UEE)) is a Vanduul-controlled planetary system that shares a jump point with the Orion system. In SEY 2712 on 16 February, thousands of Vanduul ships erupted from the previously-unknown jump point and initiated the Battle of Orion. After two days of fighting, the UEE was forced to retreat and cede Orion to the Vanduul. It is included in UEE star charts as a part of Vanduul territory, but all other details on it are classified.
